Chris Mancini

My favorite thing to make in grade school were finger skateboards. As far back as 1984, my friends and I would cut out graphics from our skate magazines, paste them on cardboard and fashion trucks out of Hot Wheels. We'd use our binders for ramps, pencils for rails and even make our own half-pipes. Now Tech Deck is a multi-million dollar brand, doing exactly what we did way back when!

Children's culture -- things that little kids learn from bigger kids, not parents, is disappearing. Watch a bunch of kids in the park. They just don't know as many outdoor games as we did. Tag is pretty much it. They don't even play Hide and Seek.
