I like "legacy" toys vs "landfill" toys, will definitely adopt those terms! Now I need to look for an adequate German translation.

Somebody needs to start a metric for toys.
Perhaps hours of fun/$ of retail
This could really make a difference in customer understanding of Legacy & landfill toys

Legacy vs Landfill - this is a great way of describing something that is important to many people in Europe who care for the environment without wanting to be associated with the tree huggers, etc.
